Our firm has been working a huge sinkhole case in the New Port Richey area for the past several years. It involves a large condo rental community insured for approximately $16,000,000. The carrier is Citizens and as usual with Citizens we do not expect the case to settle prior to trial. The case has been set several times but we recently received word that this case has moved into position to go to trial either during the week of October 22nd or the week after. There is nothing holding it back now. Win or lose, we expect these results to grab some headlines as it could be the largest verdict ever obtained against Citizens if we are victorious on all counts.
